Summer is coming to an end, and families are encouraged to complete registration for the 2026-2027 school year at Las Cruces Public Schools. Online registration opened in March and remains open. Parents and guardians who have not completed the process are encouraged to register this week to help ensure a smooth start to the school year.
Completing online registration early provides several benefits, including:
Earlier assignment of transportation routes
Access to your child’s previous year’s report card
Updated family contact information to ensure you receive important news and alerts
Required documents for online registration:
Child’s Birth Certificate (or passport/visa or state-certified document) No photocopies
Parent/Guardian identification
Proof of residence (tax bill, utility bill, or renter’s lease agreement)
Current immunization records
Parents and guardians must complete the enrollment process for their child annually. Families with students new to the district must create a ParentVUE account. Parents will complete the online registration via ParentVUE for a new student’s initial enrollment. The required documents must also be submitted to finalize enrollment, including the student’s current immunization record.
ParentVUE is a secure, mobile-friendly portal that allows parents to view grades, attendance, assignments, and class schedules.
To access ParentVUE, visit the Las Cruces Public Schools website at lcps.net and select the ParentVUE link. Step-by-step instructions, helpful resources, and video tutorials are available to guide families through account creation and registration.
Families who already have a ParentVUE account and receive information from their child’s school do not need to create a new account. If you need have any questions about creating a ParentVUE account, email ioteam@lcps.net or call 575-525-7121.
Beginning this school year, parents can also use the new Beacon Connect Family App for real-time bus updates, including bus location, boarding notifications, and alerts for delays or emergencies. Parents must complete their child’s online registration before downloading the app. Search “BC Family” in your mobile device’s app store to download.
